Following a recommendation from a colleague at Conwy Council, Honeypot were approached by the Heritage Tourism Officer at Conwy County Council to assist with the population of a new partnership website to promote historical sites across Snowdonia.

The Snowdonia Heritage Partnership includes representatives from several district councils in North Wales who work together to promote the history and heritage of the area to visitors and local people. The website is a key part of this and although set up as a template, none of the template had yet been populated by the partners. Honeypot was asked to do this in time for the official launch of the website in five weeks time.

The website template is run on a CMS programme which we had no previous experience of, so we were first required to learn how to use the software, before starting to populate the template. Our experience in using numerous other CMS packages and our flexibility meant that we were able to pick this up quickly and easily.

The brief was to:

  • Populate the CMS template with copy (in English and Welsh) as supplied, include hyperlinks and cross-links across pages

  • Upload photographs, pdf, video and mp3 files and assign to appropriate pages

  • Re-size all photography to correct size

  • Identify faults on the website template and liaise with website developers to correct

The website was completed on time and to the full satisfaction of the client. So much so, that six months later Honeypot was asked to undertake maintenance of the site and to add some new text and features to the site.
